Meet Dr. Huang
Dr. Linda Huang holds a background of a very specialized training that combines medicine and dentistry. After four years of dental school at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine in 1999, she underwent six years of hospital-based residency program at New York Presbyterian Hospital — Columbia University Medical Center. She trained alongside with the medical and surgical residents in many hospital departments including general surgery, emergency medicine, anesthesiology, plastic surgery, and otolaryngology. Her extensive training enables her to be specialized in the problems of the face and the mouth. She practices a wide scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Huang holds an associate clinical professor position at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine teaching oral and maxillofacial residents and dental students. She also has hospital privileges with NYPH-Columbia University Medical Center. She was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in October 2013.
Aside from work, Dr. Huang had been involved in medical mission organizations including Healing the Children (to Colombia) and HIS Foundation to the under-served regions of China doing cleft lip and palate surgeries for orphans and children living in poverty. She plans to return to these medical missions trips in the not-too-distant future on a yearly basis.
On a personal note, the doctor loves reading growth and development books that will shape her in living out a life of deep emotional health while attending a local church with her family. She enjoys caring for her patients not just on the surgical level but also her patient’s healing as a whole, therefore with patient’s agreement, she frequently offers prayers with and for them. Dr. Huang is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
